프로듀스 101에 나왔던 Get Ugly 입니다. 사실 저는 이 곡을 잘 알지도 못했는데
몇몇 분들이 해달라고 하셔서 하게 되었네요.
이 노래의 제목인 Get Ugly 는 두 가지 의미가 있는데, 하나는 말그대로 '못생겨지다' 는 의미이고 또 하나는 '술을 마시고 흥청망청 놀다'는 의미입니다.
이 노래에서는 두 가지 의미 중 어떤 의미로 해석해도 맞습니다.
hurr = hair, get down 은 술마시고 놀다라는 뜻입니다.
this girl straight and this girl not 은 한명은 straight , 즉 남자를 좋아하는 이성애자인데 한명은 레즈비언이다는 뜻이고요.
tipsy off은 살짝 술에 취해서 알딸딸한 상태를 의미합니다.
중간에 칭아랑랑칭아랑랑이랑 뱅어랑랑뱅어랑랑은 둘다 별 의미없는 의성어인데요
칭어랑랑칭어랑랑은 동전이 찰랑거리는 소리를 흉내낸 것 같네요.
loose change 은 동전을 의미합니다.
brass=annoy 입니다. 이쁜 여자애들이 서로 자기가 더 예쁘게 보이려고 성가시게 구는.. 그런 뜻이에요
undercover freaks 는 막 순진한척 하면서 아무것도 모르는척하지만 실상은 그렇지 않은... 그런애들을 의미합니다.
I'm about to be that guy 에서 that guy는 보통 모임에서 사람들이 다 싫어하는 사람을 의미합니다. 여기서는 제이슨데룰로가 술에 취해서 제대로 걷지도 못해 누군가 집에 데려다줘야 하니까 이런 표현을 쓴것이에요.
bass in the trunk 는 원래는 차트렁크에 짐 대신 오디오를 설치한것을 의미하는데요. 카오디오라고 하나요??? 스피커 여러개 설치해서 음악 크게듣고다니는 사람들 있잖아요..
또 한편으로는 bass in the trunk 는 큰 엉덩이를 의미하고, vibrate that thing 은 트워킹, 즉 엉덩이를 흔드는 행동을 의미하는 진짜 속뜻(?)도 있습니다.
